Song of Solomon, also known as Song of Songs, is a love story. It tells of King Solomon the wise and his beloved bride. Throughout this intimate book of marriage and romance the Holy Spirit has given us a glimpse of God’s desire for deep relationship with us.
God, who is all knowing and all present, wants to see us and to hear from us. It’s not that he CAN’T see or hear us if we don’t want Him to, it’s that He wants us to WANT to be seen and heard by him. He loves us unconditionally as a husband (should) love his wife and he wants us to love Him as a wife loves her husband.
Take some time today to talk to God and to open your ear to listen. Ask Him what he LIKEs about you. Don’t rush through it. Take your time and enjoy Being with your God.
