Mysteries

A year for holiness

“I heard, but I did not understand.  Then I said, ‘O my Lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?’  He said, ‘Go on your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.'” – Daniel 12:8-9

As Christians we ought to recognize the importance of walking with God and waiting on His guidance in every part of our lives.  However, we must also understand that there are times when God will choose not to give us a clear answer in the way we hope that He would.

When we ask God a question we can expect an answer: Yes, No, or Not Now.  When Daniel asks God here, “What shall be the outcome of these things?”  God’s answer to this prophet who had walked intimately with Him for all of his life is, “It’s not for you to know at this time.”  In other words, “not now”.

Don’t be discouraged if you ask God about something or for something and you don’t get a clear answer right away.  Sometimes you’ll find yourself waiting days, weeks, months, years, or even decades for a clear answer because our Father knows the right timing to reveal all things.
