Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from before your birth, carried from the womb; even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save. -Isaiah 46:3-4 (ESV)
If you are like me, there have been times during your walk with God that you’ve wondered why it’s so hard. “Why,” I ask myself, “do I push myself to do what is right when those around me who are following their own desires and cursing God seem to be doing so much better than I am?” If that sounds like something you’ve asked yourself at all, or like me, more recently take heart. The remnant of faithful Jews and Christians are in the hand of God. He has borne us from before we were born of this earth. He has carried us since our conception; and He has promised to bear us (and our baggage) until we are with Him again.
